I consider Singapore to be one of the most expensive countries in South East Asia. Compared to countries like Malaysia, activities are very expensive in Singapore.
Regardless of the cost, Singapore is very beautiful and it should definitely be visited at least once in a lifetime. Prior to visiting Singapore, I researched pictures of gardens by the bay on Google and Instagram and saw several beautiful images. As a result of this, I knew I had to make my visit to this lovely place a priority once I landed in Singapore. Gardens by the Bay was number 2 on my list of things to see and do in Singapore- Universal Studios being the number 1. I will write about the fun things I did in Singapore in another post.

Regarding the entrance fee, I thought the prices were OK for the two conservatories I visited (flower dome and cloud forest). Each conservatory can be seen in less than 1 hour and after leaving the conservatory, you cannot go back in. The price is actually quite comparable to other tourist attractions in the city. For example, a ticket for 1 trip on the Singapore flyer cost S$33 (equivalent to 25 USD).
I was lucky enough to catch the free night show from the outdoor garden (The area outside the entrance to gardens by the bay. Hanging out in the outdoor garden is free. It is best to watch the light show from the outdoor garden if you have no intention of paying the entrance fee), and it was amazing! The show occurs at 7:45pm and 8:45pm daily.
Here is a breakdown of Gardens by the Bay ticket prices:
Conservatories (Flower Dome and Cloud Fores) | Double: $28 (Equiv. 20 USD) |
Outdoor Gardens | Free |
OCBC Skyway (You can observe the treelike structure- called supertrees from this skyway) | Adult: $8 (Equiv. 6 USD). Last ticket sale is at 8pm |
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
