Osman Sagar Lake

Another famous lake situated on the outskirts of the city, Osman Sagar Lake is worth visiting. Treasure Island, Ocean Park, and Elles World are situated in the vicinity of the lake and is amongst the top tourist attractions of Hyderabad.

This lake is an important water source for the cities Secunderabad and Hyderabad and was built by Mir Osman Ali Khan in 1920. The pools and the gardens around the area make it a perfect spot for spending some serene moments with your loved ones.

Choodi Bazaar

One of the most sprawling and famous markets of the city is Choodi Bazaar or Ladd Bazaar. The marketplace is a heaven for women who love bangles, the name ‘Laad’ means lacquer that is used to make Indian Bangles.

Although, primarily famous for bangles, here you’ll find endless varieties of jewellery made of precious stones, and printed saris. Jewelry made of Panna and rubies are famous produces of the local artisans in the area.

Golconda Fort

A prized heritage monument of India that radiates the glory of India’s untold sagas is the Golconda Fort. The ruin of the fort has still been preserved and is amongst the most popular tourist destinations of Hyderabad.

The fort prospered during the reign of Qutub Shahi and is known for being home to the famous Golconda dynasty. Light and sound shows are arranged after nightfall to show the splendour and excellence of the famous dynasty and its rise and fall.

Nizams Museum

Situated in the nub of Purani Haveli, Nizams Museum is a royal museum housing the artefacts and memorabilia of the famous Nizams.

Packard, Mark V Jaguar, 130 Rolls Royce are amongst the most prized possessions of this museum. The sight of Tiffin boxes made of gold and diamonds, silver and diamond studded coffee mugs, gold furnished thrones are not uncommon in this museum.
