At some point in time, some Android fans might have noticed that some android devices come with android One OS, whereas others come with the Android Go Edition and possibly they have seek to know the difference between the Android One and Android Go Edition OS.

If you also want to know the difference between Android One and Android Go Edition, then you are at the right place as that is what we shall be doing by taking out time to differentiate the Android One and Android Go Edition OS.

Without even wasting a single time we will be going straight to differentiate between the android One and Android Go edition OS.

Starting with Android One, Android One can be regarded as purest and most secured form of the android OS, where Google is concerned about security and therefore constantly delivers several updates and security patches directly to the OS. Google can go for like 2 to 3 years delivering such updates to devices that run on the Android One OS.

Android One users can at least easily upgrade their devices to the next 2 new Android OS and the software is easily secured by Google where device OEMs has no authorized right to temper on the OS.

Though the android One project was also initialized for low end devices but it has gone beyond its initial aim and now includes high end devices.

Examples of devices that were built with Android One in mind are Nokia 7 Plus, Xiaomi Mi
A1, Infinix Hot 2 and it is worthy to note that the upcoming Infinix Note 5 will be based on the Android One project.

Coming down to the Android Go Edition OS, this is actually meant for phones with lower RAMs, say like from 1GB RAM and below and most of the priority apps from Google comes in lower versions as we have them like  YouTube Go, Gmail Go, Chrome Go, Map Go etc.

In the Android Go edition, updates to devices that run the Android Go are not directly being delivered by Google as Google sends such updates to the OEM and the OEM can modify the updates and deliver it to their devices as it suits them.

Examples of devices that were built with the Android Go Edition are the Nokia 1, many Itel devices etc.

Final verdict between the android One and android Go editions OS, both have their pros and cons but devices with Android One seems to edge out those device with Android Go edition.
