First IL-112V prototype rolled out



The first Prototype of the IL-112V light military transport Aircraft has been rolled out of the Voronezh Joint Stock Aircraft Manufacturing Company final assembly line in Russia.

The turboprop light transport is intended to replace the Soviet era Antonov An-26 operated by Russian Military.

The IL-112V is designed for transportation and assault landing of up to 5 tons of light-weight armament and military machines, cargo and crew. It can seat upto 50 personnel or upto 25 paratroopers.

The prototype will undergo a series of ground and taxi trials before proceeding to maiden flight.
 
The aircraft ensures automatic landing approach feature at airfields that are specified in at least II ICAO airfield category and manual Landing Approach at airfields with minimum radio technical equipment. 

The aircraft is 25 m long, has  a wingspan of 27.6 m and a fuselage diameter of 3.29 m. Powering the IL-112V is two Klimov TV7-11ST Turboprop engines rated a max power of 3,500 hp. The engine drives six bladed AV-112 propellers. 

Maximum take-off weight will be 21 tons with a maximum payload of 5 ton. The aircraft will have a cruising speed of 450-500 km/h. Maximum flight altitude – 7600 m,

 With a payload of 3.5 ton, the flight range will be 2,400 km.
