BenQ RL2460HT 24 inch Gaming Monitor Review

Today we are going to take a look at the BenQ RL2460HT 24 inch gaming monitor. The BenQ RL2460HT LED monitor has a 24 inch TN display, supports 1920 x 1080 resolution, and it also have a couple advantages over the other options you might be considering. The panel itself measures 20.9 inches (H) by 11.73 inches (W). TN panels deliver better response times and lowest input lag compared to monitors utilizing IPS panels. The 1ms response time is not an issue when it comes to watching movies and playing games. It was good to see a somewhat generous list of input options on this TN monitor. You may not get a DisplayPort, but you do get two HDMI ports, one analog VGA, and one DVI port. In addition, this monitor has a 3.5mm stereo-in port for headphones. There is a HDMI output too, which lets you record or stream your gameplay without the risk of input lag or delay.
When seen in profile, the monitor is fairly slim. It has a new gaming feature – Fighting Mode which allow gamers to highlight battle characters with special colors. The most significant feature of this monitor is ZeroFlicker, that is used to eliminate flickering at all brightness levels. The BenQ RL2460HT monitor is supplied with a heavy duty stand, offers 20° of tilt (+5° to -15°), and rotates to allow for portrait mode display. In order to protect your eyes, BenQ offers low blue light technology with various adjustable low blue light levels and flicker-free backlight at all brightness ranges. The black eQualizer feature provide gamers with razor-sharp visibility. The on-screen display offers access to display settings and various modes.

After short calibration, we tested the monitor and it achieved a gamut of 100 percent of sRGB’s colour space and about 78 percent of AdobeRGB’s colour space, which is well above the average in its class. The picture is really great and should satisfy the vast majority of gaming enthusiasts. Also, the anti-glare layer of the display rejects reflections very well.  You can save up to three custom profiles.

Pros:

  • Response time
  • HDMI output for streamers
  • Price

Cons:

  • Design

The BenQ RL2460HT is a capable low-lag Gaming Monitor with a darn good panel for gaming and it will satisfy the needs of console gamers and budget-focused PC gamers who cannot afford the buying cost of a G-SYNC or 144Hz monitor.
