Now, one can Control Computer Commands by just thought with the new software called ‘OpenViBE’ developed by French scientists. After the buttons, remote, touch-screen, feather touch and gestures command, it is now the ‘thought’ command that would possibly rule the technology industry. The new software platform allows individuals to offer commands by just his/ her thought process.
The new ‘OpenViBE’ software was demonstrated at a tech fest at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Mumbai. The research of developing the software began in 2005.
“The OpenViBE software platform facilitates the design, testing and use of 'brain-computer interfaces' - in other words, systems that process the electrical signals linked with brain activity and translate them into a command that can be understood by machines,” computer scientists Yann Renard and Laurent Bonnet were quoted as saying during the demonstration.
Thus the users can command any automated system by just their thought process without using their hands or showing gestures.
