How many times has this happened to you? You walk into a Coffee shop thinking of trying something new, look into the delightful menu and to your surprise don’t know what is the difference between Mochaccino and Macchiato, Au Lait and Latte, Espresso and Americano and probably end up ordering something you had before.

This nice little infographic should provide you with valuable info on the different types of coffee served worldwide and help you choose a different kind of coffee next time.

For those who are not accustomed to Venn diagrams:

  • Americano = Coffee + Water
  • Au Lait = Coffee + Milk
  • Cappuccino = Coffee + Foam (more) + Milk (less)
  • Espresso = Coffee
  • Hot Chocolate = Chocolate + Milk
  • Latte = Coffee + Milk (more) + Foam (less)
  • Macchiato = Coffee + Foam
  • Mochaccino = Coffee + Chocolate + Milk + Foam

Note: The above infographic is an editted version, as in the original one (vennoid.com), Mochaccino and Cappuccino were wrongly labelled.
