Update 6.02 for PlayStation 4 presumably fixes boot run by unknown character

Sony has released firmware version 6.02 for the Playstation 4. Although Sony does not mention it, it is probably a fix for the problem where consoles can end up in a boat run by an unknown character in a private message.

Sony does not mention the problem in the description of the update . In it, the PlayStation manufacturer only reports that the new software improves ‘system performance’. It is striking that a Sony account on Twitter users who ‘for some reason’ can not use their console refer to a link to download the update . It is possible to put the update on a USB stick and thus provide the console with the new software.

Last weekend it turned out that PlayStation 4 consoles could end up in a boat walk if a private message was opened with a special sign that can not be displayed. Sony has not officially responded to that problem. On Monday, the Ask PlayStation UK account on Twitter stated that the problem had been resolved , but it referred to workarounds such as deleting the malicious message via the PS Mobile app and restoring the console via Safe Mode.
