NLziet starts beta test of Android TV app

The Dutch streaming service Nlziet started with the beta test of his app for devices that run on Android TV. Members of the test team of NLziet can now participate in the beta test.

According to a NLziet spokesman, the beta test lasts for at least two weeks and can take longer, partly depending on the reactions and feedback from testers. The NLziet app for Android TV must be released by the last quarter of this year at the latest.

Testers must have at least one television or, for example, the Nvidia Shield media player with Android TV version 6.0 or higher. Among other televisions from Sony and Philips TVs from TP-Vision have Android TV as operating system.

In June, NLziet announced that it is working to release the service as an app for Android TV. At the end of May the app for the streaming service for the Apple TV media player was released and in August this was done for the PlayStation 4 .

With NLziet, users can look back and watch Dutch television programs from NPO, RTL and SBS. Live TV is also possible and the app contains a TV guide. The costs for a subscription are 7.95 euros per month.
