Business chats in iMessage can be used to order beer in the stadium

In March, Apple released iOS 11.3 with support for Business chat for iMessage. We have not yet seen a wide application of this function, but our colleagues from Business Insider told us in what scenarios it will be used in the very near future. We hope that soon more companies will be able to pay attention to the function.

The first function began to support the operator of television Dish. With the help of Business Chats, he organized technical support, which is available to iPhone users through the Messaging application. Dish supports Apple Pay to pay for viewing paid content.

A more interesting application of technology was found in Citizens Bank Park. This Stadium hosts the games of the Philadelphia Phillies baseball club. On the back of each seat will be located QR-code. Visitors to the stadium can simply scan it to start a chat in iMessage. In this chat you can order beer, which will be delivered directly to the desired place in the stadium.

At the moment, a similar way of selling beer is in test mode. It is not available in all sectors of the stadium. Let’s hope that the experiment will be successful, and the technology of business chats will be widely used.
