Tesla comes with firmware update to solve any problem with the brake

Tesla has said through director Elon Musk that a problem with the anit blocking system at the brakes of the Model 3, as found by the American consumer organization Consumer Reports, is resolved via a firmware update.

Musk has said on Twitter that the abs problem can probably be resolved with a firmware update. This update will be available in the coming days. It is not so much a general problem that leads to poor Braking performance, but more to inconsistency in braking.

Consumer Reports experienced no problems or deviations at the first attempt, with the Model 3 having a normal Braking Distance. In repetitive tests, however, the organization found that the car required significantly longer braking distances even after the brakes had cooled down. If a braking test was done at a speed of 100 km / h, the car only came to a standstill after 46 meters. That is considerably longer than the average braking distance that other modern cars need for this. Musk indicated that the Model 3 had a braking distance of 38 or 40 meters in its own tests

According to Musk, the problem has to do with an algorithm that is used to calibrate the anti-lock braking system. He thinks that braking performance with further refinements can be even better than the values that the official specifications now indicate. The CEO also states that Consumer Reports has tested an early production copy of the Model 3.
