BEIJING (Reuters) – China’s giant technology giant Baidu unveiled Thursday its first intelligent home audio device and two domestic robots powered by DuerOS, an artificial intelligence-based conversation technology like Alexa’s smart acoustic assistant or Smart Voice Assistant from Microsoft Cortana Cortana.

The new three devices are part of the new Raven series, and DuerOS is used in more than 100 different smartphones for televisions, refrigerators and washing machines. However, the Raven series is the first Baidu equipment for this artificial intelligence technology, Smartphone Raven H for sale next month for $ 256.

The smart speaker was designed by Raven Tech, an innovator in intelligent intelligence based on artificial intelligence, acquired by Baidu in February. The device comes with a touch-screen LED that can be separated from the base of the device and used within Wi-Fi to control the device from Voice commands.

The Raven H controller has the power to control the Raven series and smart home appliances. The intelligent DuerOS voice-activated audio assistant can do most of what Alexa and Google’s Google Assistant can do, such as searching the web and creating a reminder, Conduct transactions, monitor smart home appliances and play music.

The Raven Q, a home-based LED arm and LED display, is able to rotate around the axis and move to mimic expressions and emotions. The other home robot under development, Raven Q, includes several technologies such as DuerOS Natural language processing and computer vision, which help build a three-dimensional model of its surroundings.

Baidu provided DuerOS to companies and developers in July and has been available for years in home appliances such as the Xiaoyu Zaijia small fish developed in collaboration with AiNemo. The development group was launched this summer by Contexant.
