HTC unveiled new virtual reality glasses designed specifically to work with its latest smartphone, HTC U11, called the LINK.

The company, the VIVE, one of the most prominent glasses in the virtual reality market, said that “Link” will provide a level of tracking hexagonal, becoming the first virtual reality glasses based on smart phones offer this feature.

Although LINK is designed to work with the HTC U11, announced earlier this month , it comes with a screen of its own, that is, the phone will not be put into the glasses like the models of the “GVR” Samsung and Dai Dream View from Google, but connect with the phone via a USB-C cable.

The glasses come with a pair of illuminated arms, like Sony’s virtual reality glasses, the PlayStation VR, and a camera and controllers that come with it in the box, according to UploadVR .

The HTC Link’s virtual reality glasses feature a 3.6-inch LCD with a resolution of 1,200 x 1,080 pixels with a 90 Hz refresh rate. The glasses provide a 110 degree vision. It weighs 554 grams.

Link will only be available in July in Japan. According to UploadVR, HTC does not intend to launch the glasses outside of Japan.

The new glasses come days after Google announced at Google I / O 2017 that HTC and Lenovo are planning to launch virtual reality glasses that support a six-track tracking system.
