The HP Color LaserJet CP1216 Printer is a small printer that is easy to maintain and products high quality text documents. It is adequate for home and small office use, simple flyers, marketing materials, and text documents where printing volumes are limited.

The HP Color LaserJet CP1216 is a simple, single-function laser printer designed for small businesses and homes. It is encased in light grey and white sturdy exterior, and has a simple control panel featuring buttons for paper feed and job cancel, and a range of indicator lights.

This color printer has slower printing speeds; 8 pages per minute color and 12 ppm monochrome and at a fixed resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. With the manual color options, four color or black neutral grays can be chosen to save ink, but there's no way to adjust the resolution of the prints.

The text printed is very sharp and easily legible; even the smallest of fonts. However, the colors printed are darker than on the computer screen. On the default setting, the color was a little too dark.

It boasts an ‘Instant-on’ technology that allows for faster startup when resuming from PowerSave mode; it just requires 30 seconds from sleeping to printing.

The software driver is verry easy to install also they are on the CD, although Linux drivers are available for download. There’s no OSX drivers available for this machine, on the software CD or on the support site.
