It’s raining smartphones this season with a new launch every week. Now, comes Motorola’s new mid-range smartphone Moto G6 Plus. Moto G6 Plus launch date in India was 10th September, which was on Monday this week. The other 2 phones Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play got introduced in the Indian market some time back but Moto G6 Plus was not launched. With the simultaneous global launch of these 3 phones in April this year, everybody was waiting for Moto G6 in India.
Motorola is well known around the world for providing nearly stock Android experience in its smartphones with minimum bloatware. This puts Motorola ahead of the other rival brands. Also, Motorola has made its reputation for pushing timely security updates and software updates into its smartphones. Although, some other Motorola smartphones like Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus will not be getting any software upgrades. Now, let’s check out a brief introduction to Moto G5 Plus specification and features.
Design Moto G6 Plus
Moto G6 Plus looks and feels premium like the other Motorola phones with its glass back. The glass around the phone is Corning Gorilla Glass with a 3-dimensional back. The phone is also coated with a water-repellent material, which makes this phone safer during rains.
Moto G6 Plus is 16.1×0.8×7.6 cm in size with 168-grams weight. There is Type-C USB port at the bottom of the phone with 3.5-mm Headphone jack. On the top, there is SIM-slot and secondary microphone. Volume-rockers and Lock button are on the right side. On the front side of the phone, there is earpiece, front-camera and LED flash on top and fingerprint scanner at the bottom under the Motorola logo. There is one primary microphone place near the Motorola logo on the bottom front side as well. On the back side of the phone, there is a rear Dual-camera setup and a Motorola logo, which is not fingerprint sensor off-course.
Display Moto G6 Plus
The phone Moto G6 Plus comes with an IPS LCD panel, which is a Full HD+ capacitive touchscreen of 5.9-inch size diagonally with 18:9 aspect ratio, 2160×1080 resolution and 409-PPI pixel density. The display is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Processor Moto G6 Plus
Moto G6 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630, which is an Octa-core processor and is clocked at 2.2 GHz. One other phone of this price range Poco F1 has Snapdragon 845, so Moto G6 Plus lags behind in this segment.
Camera Moto G6 Plus
The rear camera on Moto G6 Plus is a dual camera setup with 12 MP, f/1.7 aperture primary sensor and 5 MP, f/2.2 aperture secondary sensor. The rear camera supports video recording a maximum of 2160p @30fps and features a dual-tone LED flash. The front camera on this phone Moto G6 Plus is a 16 MP, f/2.2 shooter with LED flash and supports video recording of up to 1080p @30fps.
Battery Moto G6 Plus
The phone Moto G6 Plus is bundled with a Non-removable Lithium-ion 3200 mAh battery, which can last a day on normal usage.
