According to the Mac rumors, last week Apple has updated its Touch Bar Macbook Pros with the faster specs and also quieter keyboards, but it seems like that the smaller 13-inch models will also get another little boost. Currently, all four of Thunderbolt 3 ports on the 2018 models are on full speed.

Also, it’s a very small but obviously useful update to the earlier of 2016 and 2017 smaller 13-inch models which offered only full-speed data given on the two left-side ports, whereas the two right-sided ports were inadequate to the slower PCI Express bandwidth. And the reason behind the shift is very much simple, as the original Intel chips on the old smaller 13-inch MacBooks offered only 12 Pci Express Lanes which were not still enough for the full 40Gbps transfer speeds on all the four ports.
However, now the new eighth-generation chips on the 13-inch model offering up to the 16 PCI Express lanes which are more than enough for all the four ports to operate at a high and full speed, just like its larger 15-inch sibling of Mac.
Additionally, 13-inch MacBook Pro sans Touch Bar has only two Thunderbolt 3 ports, so it was not even affected by the problem or might be updated as part of last week’s refresh.
