As the benefits are undeniable, more and more people are going wireless these days. Today, we’re gonna have an in-depth review of a product that we tested out, the xFyro xS2 Waterproof Truly Wireless Earbuds.

With their independent ability, it’s no surprise why people opt to use such devices rather than bring their phones all the time. The portability of such devices is amazing and the xFyro xS2 offers all these and more.
xFyro xS2 Waterproof Truly Wireless Earbuds
Aside from the xFyro xS2 earbuds, it comes with a charging case which is just under 6 inches and weighs only 70g. A very slim, tall, lipstick-like frame that is so portable, you can keep it in your pocket. On one side, it has a micro USB port used to charge the case. On the other side is a USB port that can be used to charge up any devices like it’s a power bank. The case is equipped with an 850mah battery which can be used for emergencies only but will be more than enough to charge the earbuds themselves.
On both ends of the charging case, are magnetic pockets. This is where the xFyro xS2 Waterproof Truly Wireless Earbuds will go in and wirelessly charge up. Although they are very safely attached to the end, they are very easy to remove and use.
The xFyro xS2 earbuds itself is made from aluminum alloy with removable silicone ear tips. At first glance, you’ll see that both have a power button that allows you to use them independently. Each earbud has their own marking of “L” and “R” for you to be able to distinguish which goes to what side of your ear. Unlike other earbuds, the xFyro xS2 waterproof truly wireless earbuds have built-in microphones on both earbuds for independent use and for extra clarity for voice calls.
Lastly, it’s also worth mentioning the accessories included in the box. A micro USB cable is provided to charge up the charging case. However, you have to provide the power adapter, as they didn’t include one in the box. Also, they included 2 sets of silicone ear tips of different sizes. This will allow adjustment to the earplugs to make sure it fits you perfectly and won’t fall off.
Connectivity
The xFyro xS2 is built-in with a Bluetooth version 4.2 that promises 10-meter wireless range. After a week of usage, it never disconnected from my mobile device unexpectedly (except dying from a low battery of course).
Pairing with your mobile phone or tablet is also a breeze. Simply press the power button on any of the earbuds and hold it for 4 seconds. As you enter into “pairing mode”, you will notice that the LED indicator is going to start flashing a blue and red light. The next step would be to open the Bluetooth on your device, and you will immediately see a device named “xFyro xS2”. Pair it with the earbud and you will immediately see the LED indicator on the earbuds will turn blue. If you wish to use the second earbud and pair it with your first earbud, simply press and hold its power button for 2 seconds. However, if you press and hold the power button for 4 seconds, it will enter into pairing mode and you can connect it on a different mobile device.
Sound Quality
If you’re a fan of listening to music on the go, the xFyro xS2 Waterproof Truly Wireless Earbuds does not disappoint. The sound quality has exceeded my expectation. It offers very accurately mids and highs with a sufficient amount of bass. The clarity of any music genre resonates at any volume as there is absolutely no distortion even at the maximum volume.
Furthermore, it is equipped with a CVC 6.0 Noise Cancellation which can intelligently drown out ambient noise. Just find that perfect fit in your ear and the passive noise reduction works wonders. In addition to music, it also works in phone calls which will make your conversations crisp and clear.
IP67 Rating
Every gadget these days are going for waterproofing, frankly because, why not. Who doesn’t love a gadget that can be used under-water? And the xFyro xS2 is no different.
The “IP rating” is a classification of what kind of protection your device has. The first number 6 means it’s completely dust proof, and the 7 means its water resistant up to 3 feet of immersion.
To torture test, I tried using the xFyro xS2 while in the shower and it works seemingly well. No sound distortion or any Bluetooth disconnection the entire time.
Battery Life
As good as advertised, the “all day battery” of the xFyro xS2 Waterproof Truly Wireless Earbuds will make you forget that it is wireless. The earbuds themselves are equipped with a 45mah battery and the charging case with an 850mah battery.
The charging case can fully charge your earbuds in 45 minutes and can give you up to 5 to 6 full charges before complete depletion. The normal running time of the earbuds is around 4 to 5 hours of music/talk time, therefore giving you around 30 hours of music/talk time in total. In everyday usage, you won’t even have to worry about its battery and just charge up before sleeping.

Rating 8.5 out of 10
The xFyro xS2 Waterproof Truly Wireless Earbuds deserves a rating of 8.5 out of 10. It is an amazing product but has room for improvements.
First, both earbuds’ power button is sticking out on the sides of the case, which can be scratched or pressed accidentally in your bag or pocket. At this price point, the charging case offers very little protection to the earbuds. Which brings me to my second point, which is the steep pricing. If you look at the specs, you can get the same features of the same type of product for a cheaper price in the market.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this product. If you’re looking for a truly wireless earbud, this one is definitely worth looking into. It checks all the boxes in my book when it comes to earbuds. Its light, portable and durable with its ip67 rating. The sound quality will not disappoint you. Also, the comfort of using this is top notch. You can use this while running or in the gym without any issue. Battery life is more than enough to last you the entire day and more.
