How to Configure HP Printers with Macs?

With more than 100 million active Mac users, the MacOS is the second largest fish in the Desktop/Laptop Ocean. With a great support from the users and regular software updates, Macs have become a household name for many users. Mac – “Macintosh” as many called was the best selling product of the company before iPhones and iPads. Wired Configuration Setup

The following points are the instructions to configure the HP Printer with the Mac through
Wired mode.
1. First, connect the printer with the Mac following the instructions from the manual.
2. The driver software of HP printer is available at the HP Printers website. Select the HP
printer that you use and download that file.
3. The downloaded file can be found at downloads folder of the Mac.
4. In the meantime, Connect the power cord of the Printer and switch on the power.
5. Also, connect the printer and the mac through the USB Cable provided along with the HP
Printer.
6. Now, Click on the downloaded file to run it.
7. After running it, your mac will ask whether it is ok to trust the application which you
have downloaded from the web, click on the Allow button.
8. The file will start to run.
9. After the file finished installing, you can check whether it is installed on the mac by going to
System Preferences→Printers and Scanners.
10. You can see the name of the printer in this window if the driver was installed.
11. The installed software will be available at the Launchpad
12. Check whether the printer is working fine, by printing a document from your Mac.
Wireless Configuration Setup
The Wireless setup has gained so much popularity with the Mac users. Because Apple itself is
motivating its users to go wireless by introducing the Airpods – Wireless earpods and even
Airpower – wireless charging device for iPhones and apple watches. The Macs also have USB
Type C ports which enable the fast transfer of data.
The following instructions are for Wireless Configuration of HP Printer with Macs

1. Follow the same primary steps as in the Wired Configuration mode.
2. Unbox the printer and assemble it as specified by the instruction manual.
3. Connect the Power cord and wait for some time till you power on it.
4. The driver software of HP printer is available at the HP Printers website. Select the HP
printer that you use and download that file.
5. The downloaded file can be found at downloads folder of the Mac.
6. Now, Click on the downloaded file to run it.
7. After running it, your mac will ask whether it is ok to trust the application which you
have downloaded from the web, click on the Allow button.
8. The file will start to run.

13. Go to the HP Printer’s touch panel.
14. Now select Setup → Wireless Settings.
15. Click on the Wireless Setup Wizard.
16. In the forthcoming window, the printer will search for a network.
17. Select your home network with which the Mac is connected.
18. Enter the password of the Network when asked.
19. Once the connection is made, you can print using the wireless setup.
