Ford heads to SEMA with custom Edge ST and other SUVs

The 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas is almost here and now we know what Ford will be showing off at the show. Ford has teamed up with several aftermarket partners, like Tucci Designs and Blood Type Racing to create five custom SUVs that will debut at the show.

The headliner is the Ford Edge ST that’s been customized by Blood Type Racing. Not only does the exterior of the Edge ST get some modifications, but the team also boosted the output of the 2.7L EcoBoost V6. Other upgrades include a lowered suspension, 22-inch wheels and a better sound system.

MAD Industries was tasked with modifying the 2019 Ford Explorer. It’s powered by the 3.5L EcoBoost V6, but the performance has been dialed up thanks to the addition of a cold-air intake and cat-back exhaust. The exterior has been tweaked with a two-tone paint scheme and 24-inch wheels.

LGE*CTS has created the ultimate Expedition for a fun off-roading excursion. The unique 2018 Expedition is powered by the EcoBoost 3.5L V6 with a cat-back exhaust system. Anti-roll bars have been added and a suspension leveling kit. On the outside a Yakima OffGrid roof rack has been added, plus unique bumpers and mud terrain tires.

Ford’s smallest crossover, the EcoSport has been tweaked by Tucci Designs for the show. The 2.0L four-cylinder powers the modified EcoSport, but the team added a Borla exhaust. It rides on an adjustable suspension and unique 16-inch Maxxis Bravo all-terrain tires. The EcoSport also gets custom wide fender flares, an integrated winch, tubular bumpers, and roof-mounted LEDs.

Lastly the Hulst Customs designed a unique Expedition with a custom hood and grille, plus a Borla cat-back exhaust and massive 26-inch Lexani wheels. The exterior also features a two-tone paint scheme and a snowboard rack.
