HMD Global Announces to Launch Nokia 6.1 Plus Globally

HMD Global has announced to launch Nokia 6.1 Plus globally, the Android One version of the Original Nokia 6X, which was first debuted back in May in China. The smartphone was first launched in China and was slated to be available globally on a later date. And now its finally coming to other markets as well, but with a new name called Nokia 6.1 Plus.

Nokia 6.1 Plus Global Variant Specifications and Features

Nokia 6.1 Plus global variant will have the same specs and features as the Nokia 6X. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM, and comes with 64GB of internal storage with expansion via microSD.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus comes with a 5.8 inches display with 1080p resolution along with a display Notch on top of it.

The Camera

The new Nokia 6.1 Plus sports dual rear camera setup, featuring a 16MP and 5MP sensor, while the front-facing camera offers a 16MP sensor. As far as battery life is concerned, the handset packs a 3,040mAh battery and also has the rear-mounted fingerprint reader. The phone also has a USB Type-C port for charging including a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The best thing about the Noki 6.1 is that the device is part of the Android One program. So you can expect a pure stock version of Android 8.1 and quick software updated as it comes.

Nokia 6.1 Plus Release Date and Pricing

The new Nokia 6.1 Plus variant is now listed by the Nokia website and it will be available on July 24 in Hong Kong, China with an expected price of HKD 2,288, which is roughly $292.

However, no global pricing and release date have been announced yet.
