Honor 7A, Honor 7C And Redmi Y2: Which Mid-Range Smartphone Worth Buying

Last month, Honor which is a mobile brand of Huawei, launched two budget smartphones under Rs. 10,000 – Honor 7A and Honor 7C in India. Another Chinese tech company Xiaomi which has already dominated the Indian market recently launched the Redmi Y2 smartphone.

The fight is tough in the budget and mid-range segment and these companies know this better that’s why they are coming with premium features in the budget phones. These handsets are getting a great response from users because of good features at a reasonable price.

Now we’ll have a look at the comparison of price, features and specifications between Honor 7A, Honor 7C and Redmi Y2.

Price

Honor 7A can be purchased exclusively from e-commerce platform Flipkart. This smartphone was launched in May at a price tag of Rs. 8,999.

Speaking of Honor 7C, this smartphone is exclusively available from Amazon India. This smartphone is available in two variants of 3GB RAM + 32 GB memory and 4GB RAM + 64 GB memory. The price of the 3GB RAM variant is Rs. 9,999, while the 4GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 11,999.

Redmi Y2 is also available in two variants: 3GB RAM + 32 GB memory and 4GB RAM + 64 GB memory. The price of 32 GB storage model is Rs 9,999, while the price of 64 GB variant is Rs. 12,999. With this phone, Airtel is giving an instant cashback of Rs 1800 plus 240 GB data is also being provided free of charge (T&C apply).

The Honor 7A runs on the Android Oreo 8.0 with EMUI 8.0 skin on top. It has a 5.7 inch HD Plus IPS LCD display. This smartphone works on Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU.

Speaking of Honor 7C, this smartphone runs on Android OS 8.0 with EMUI 8.0. It has a 5.99 inch HD Plus IPS display, which has 2.5D curved glass. Talking about its processor, it is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor.

Redmi Y2 has a 5.99 inch HD Plus display. This phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. This phone runs on Android 8.1 Oero with MIUI 9.5 skin on top.

Camera

Talking about the camera of Honor 7A, it has a 13-megapixel+2-megapixel dual rear camera. Apart from this, 8-megapixel selfie camera has also been given.

The Honor 7C houses a 13-megapixel and a 2-megapixel dual rear camera. In addition, an 8-megapixel selfie camera has been given for selfie and video calling.

Talking about the Redmi Y2 camera, it has a 16-megapixel selfie camera equipped with 2.0 microns, HDR and LED flash. Along with this, a dual rear camera of 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel (depth sensor) has also been provided. The 12-megapixel sensor is equipped with F / 2.2 aperture, 1.25 microns and PDF.

The Honor 7A smartphone comes with 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock and other features. This smartphone is available in 3 colour variants Black, Blue and Gold. There is a 32GB internal memory, which can be increased to 256 GB via micro SD card and the handset is fueled 3000 MAH battery.

The Honor 7C is also equipped with a 3000 MAH battery and comes with standard connectivity features such as Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, fingerprint sensor, Face unlock and 4G connectivity. This smartphone is available in two variants of 3GB RAM/32 GB memory and 4GB RAM/64 GB memory.

The battery in Redmi Y2 is 3080 MAH which is higher than Honor 7A and Honor 7C. However, the connectivity features are same such as Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, fingerprint sensor, Face unlock and 4G connectivity.
