It has a built in optical image stabilization system. Having an optical image stabilization system is quite common these days in most of the cameras. But it’s one of those things that we have taken for granted. It is a very crucial component for vloggers and without it your videos will not be that great. Carrying around this camera throughout the day to create vlogs would be tiring. And hence the battery life does not matter that much as most of the time you are going to record indoors.

It has an external microphone jack. Which allows you to use an external microphone to increase the quality of your audio. At some point or another in your vlogging game, you will have to abandon the built in microphone.

It has a 24MP sensor which can record videos up to 1080p. The overall video quality is really good. It has built in Wi-Fi, a flipping touch screen, great autofocus, and a weather sealed body. These are the most essential features when it comes to vlogging. It would be okay if you don’t have that extra zoom, but missing a flipping screen would make your life harder. But here you have almost all the features that are required to create high quality vlogs.

The only downside to this camera is its weight, and with DSLR’s it’s very normal. Ironically this is the only downside to this camera, which means that it has most of the essential features a vlogger would require. If you are going to create videos in your home setup or a studio like situation where the camera is kept on the tripod the majority of the time, then this camera is a really good option for you. As you won’t have to hold the bulky camera yourself.

It’s quite rare to find all of these features in one camera at this price point. Canon do not add additional features just to include them in the features list.

They ensure that the quality and the performance of each of its features is really good, whether it’s optical image stabilization or autofocus. They are of superior quality and the performance is excellent.

On the flip side it does have some downsides. The battery life of this camera is not that good, it lasts for around 440 shots only. Though, it’s recommended to use this camera in your home or office studio as it’s quite bulky. Hence the battery life would not be that big of a deal overall.
