Hamilton Litestat has taken home Best Manufacturer at Voltimum’s Smart Solutions Awards 2018, having beaten out competition from ABB, Salus Controls and Theben.

The award win comes following Hamilton’s significant investment and support in promoting the smart control sector over the past 18 months. The firm has been hard at work dispelling myths around complicated installation and programming through training, education and youth marketing activities. The company hasn’t just seen success in the lighting control industry, however, with it also debuting the industry’s first 2.4A USB double switched socket in 2018.

The Voltimum Smart Solutions Award for Best Manufacturer is given to the company ‘that has played a role in helping promote smart solutions into the marketplace’. It looks for ‘thought-leading brands who have consistently brought innovative products and services into the smart home and building automation market and who have committed to help train their installer customers and support their projects’. The award was given out on October 10 at The Digital Construction Hub, UK Construction Week 2018, at Birmingham’s NEC.
