Moto by lenovo or only moto?Who cares about the name printed on the box, it seems like lenovo has decided to side line motorola.
Moto G5 is all metal device.Moto G5 plus sports a 5.2 inch full HD IPS display with corning gorilla glass 3 on top of it.Moto this time decided to create a compact form factor for this Phone which in my opinion is a sweet move.Above the screen is moto branding and a speaker, mind it this device has only one front firing speaker which doubles up as a speaker during call.On the bottom of the screen we have a fingerprint sensor.Despite the small screen size this phone matches the size of G4 plus due to its thick bezels.This phone weighs around 155 grams.3000 mAh battery is present beneath the back which is non-removable.
Motorola recently launched its mid ranger moto G5 plus at MWC 2017 at barcelona.
This device is the successor of moto's much controversial device moto G4 plus.Moto G4 plus was a type of pick and kick device because of its great Camera but simultaneously problem of heating and lagging issues.But with the Moto G5 plus it seems like moto is trying to hit all things at right place.

On the top of the phone is a dual sim slot and this phone also has a dedicated micro sd slot.Rear side of this phone hosts a camera which we will talk about later.
We have volume rockers and power button on the right hand side and nothing on the left.
Bottom of this device has a micro usb charging port,3.5 mm jack and primary microphone.Turbo charger comes bundled with this device.
Processor and OS.
Moto G5 plus is powered by snapdragon 625 which is a octa core soc clocked at 2 GHz.This chipset is 35% more power efficient than 617 and has been used in phones like redmi note 4.
Snapdragon 625 performs only 25% less than the 650 chipset.
This chipset is built on 14nm technology and supports adreno 506 gpu.

Moto G5 plus has a stock android UI experience with much lesser blotware.This phone runs on android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Camera
What makes this phone different from its competitor is its camera.
It is assumed that camera on this device will outperform many devices in its budget and even some of the phones which are sold higher.

Dual tone led flash combines with 12 mp dual pixel shooter present on rear with an aperture of f 1.7 to capture immense amount of light and add great details to the image.This image sensor is same as one which is found on samsung galaxy S7.It can even shoot 4K videos.
Front camera is 5 mp shooter with f 2.2 and beauty mode for good selfies.
Storage and memory.
Base variant comes with 3 GB ram and 16 GB internal storage where as top of the line variant has 4 GB ram and 32 GB internal storage.
As compared to other models in this price segment this phones has very less internal storage.Even Z2 plus and redmi note 4 offers 64 GB internal storage options.
Adaptive storage is a boon for the users of this device because users can use micro sd card as internal storage and can expand it till 128 GB.
Use a high speed micro sd card for better performance.
Sensors.
This phone comes packed with sensors like accelerometer,fingerprint sensor,ambient light sensor,proximity sensor,gyroscope but there is still one sensor missing which is magnetic compass which helps in navigation and always points towards the north pole.
Same sensor was found missing on its predecessor G4 plus.
Price and availability.
Moto G5 plus is available in lunar grey and fine gold colours on flipkart.Base variant is sold for 13,999 Rs and top variant Moto G5 plus is sold for 16,999 Rs.

EMI starts at 825 Rs per month and there is extra 5% off on Axis bank credit cards.
Personal suggestion.
If camera is not your priority then you can definitely go for redmi note 4 or even zuk z2 plus.Z2 plus has much better processor but beware of the irregular updates by lenovo.
Redmi note 4 has a same processor and has 4100 mAh battery with 64 GB of internal storage.
