Everyone knows that I’m an Iphone user but not necessarily an Apple fanboy. I’ve played around with phones that run Android and I can appreciate the feature-richness that’s typically unavailable on Apple’s flagship devices. But what if you could have an iPhone with some of the benefits that come with Android? What if you could have an iPhone with an extra battery, extra display, extra storage, additional SIM slots, an IR remote, AND wireless charging? As it turns out, the engineers at ESTI Inc, are working to make this possible.

The Eye Smartphone case has its own battery (that feeds your iPhone battery) and screen. It’s a fully functional smart device that integrates with your iPhone. Some of the coolest features include exactly all those mentioned above plus plug and play simplicity.

iPhone Users Can Now Use Android

One of the coolest features is just having a screen on both sides of your phone. I’m actually kinda surprised that nobody has done this yet. Being able to use your main iPhone camera for selfies is something that would resonate with today’s narcissistic personalities.

Although there’s no mention of how this case will jive with the iPhone 7’s water resistance ratings, my guess is that it’ll be a dry-land item only. There’s also no mention of whether the case will come in both a standard size and plus size. From the video below, it looks like that case doesn’t add too much size to the overall phone dimensions which is something the designers considered a priority.

Hit ‘Em Up On Kickstarter

The Eye Smartphone case isn’t yet available but the guys are really destroying it on Kickstarter with almost half a million dollars raised so far – almost 5x their goal. A support pledge of just $119 will lay your claim for the early release. The most basic version will sell for $189 once they hit the stores. Need we say more?
