World’s Brightest Flashlight Tested: ApexBeam Tactical Flashlight

When you first come across the Apexbeam CK 2000, you will be forgiven to think that it is just a regular touch from the way it looks. This flashlight is called tactical because it weighs more than the regular touches available online and it has different modes, zooming and functionality.

The beveled edge can be used as a defensive weapon if worse comes to worse, although it probably cannot save a life at such close quarters. The CK2000 does have a host of functions but if it stands out from the rest of the pack, we will just have to take a closer look and find out.

Features of the Flashlight

  • Illuminated tactical tail switch
  • Anti-slip body design
  • Overheat protection
  • 10,000 hour Cree LED bulb
  • IP65 water-resistant and dust-resistant protection
  • Anti-roll housing cap
  • Air craft grade Aluminum housing
  • Designed and produced in the US

When it comes to the light brightness, CK2000 stands for 2000+ lux of light is on offer courtesy of this touch.

Most Tactical flashlights measure their brightness in Lumens. Lumens is a measurement of light commonly known as Luminous flux, while lux is a unit of light measurement that takes the area illuminated into account.

It can also be described as the light intensity of an area. XMLT6 is the common bulb that most flashlights use including the CK2000. Its output is 2000 lumens of Luminous flux, but it should be noted that lux varies depending on zoom.

This flashlight also has a memory that remembers your last level of zoom and when switched back on, it goes back there.

Other inclusions

The CK2000 comes inside a tactical case which comes with a flashlight holder together with other accessories at no extra cost. The case is made of aluminum, meaning it protects the flashlight from a variety of elements. Others include;

  • 1 X AAA battery
  • 1X Flashlight
  • 1X Tactical case
  • 1X wall charger
  • 1X Rechargeable battery

According to the manufacturer Apexbeam Ck2000, is ideal for the great outdoors and activities including hunting, fishing and camping. They also recommend it for law enforcement such as the police and military, although the two would prefer a flashlight that is more than IP65 certified.

The company that manufactures the Apexbeam CK2000 is called by the same name Apex Beam LLC.

Final word

The only setback with the Apex Beam 2000 flashlight is the lack of information that the company does not provide. Tactical flashlights are available in large numbers on the internet, especially Amazon, for a quarter of the CK2000’s price.

It also uses the same bulbs that the other flash ights use and have the same feature of the beveled edge, zoom functionality and tactical Craft Grade Aluminum.

The CK2000 is big on claims, but there is no backing information, thus it can be placed under the medium performance category.

Overall though, it is a great device to add to your array of gadgets and it does provide a level of consistency when it comes to lighting.
