This autonomous robot will shovel your snow and mow your grass

In today’s tech world, we are seeing more and more inventions that are made solely to make our everyday lives easier. Most of these devices are meant for simple tasks like listening to music, turning on the lights automatically, or reading your texts on your wrist instead of having to pull out your phone. Now we are becoming more technologically advanced in a markets that have been left mostly untouched over the years. One of these awesome new gadgets is one that any gardening aficionado would love – a robotic lawnmower. Not just any robotic lawnmower, but one that is multi-seasonal and takes care of everything from mulching leaves to clearing snow.

Kobi Garden Robot

The Kobi Garden Robot is a revolutionary gardening tool that will help keep your lawn looking pristine during all four seasons. Kobi is ideal for maintaining the yards of those who want to make sure their yard is always in tip-top shape, or simply do not want to do the yard work themselves. Kobi will keep your lawn looking healthy by mulching the grass. When it comes to snow, Kobi can warn you about it because this robot is connected to weather forecast applications. In addition to mowing your lawn, it is able to remove snow within .37 acres and pick up leaves with a 3-acre space. While this doesn’t sound like much to a person that has a large plot of land, it is actually perfect for someone who owns a small yard with minimal maintenance needs.

Even though Kobi works autonomously, you are always in charge. Kobi works only if you let it, and you can start and stop this robot through its accompanying smartphone app. Equipped with GPS sensors to guide it around obstacles, and the app also allowing you to also set manual boundaries, this little robot is able to do its job. Kobi is still in the consumer testing phase (according to the company’s website, you can sign up for any updates they release regarding availability). Once it is available to the public, Kobi is expected to sell for about $3,999.

Is This The Beginning of Auto-Chore Robots?

Yes and no. We will keep seeing creative gadgets and inventions come through that are only going to be more innovative and desirable than ever before. That’s the world we live in now. With the creation of Kobi and other autonomous robots, the question regarding what this means for the future is a common one. These robotic inventions are simply being created to make our lives easier, and I don’t think we have to worry about them becoming too reliable if we don’t want them to. As humans, we are in charge of what we buy, how we use things, and how much we count on our devices to perform everyday tasks. The only risk is being out of touch with reality due to our dependence on technology. Just keep that in mind the next time you want something done without lifting a finger.
