Chrome to restore one-click certificate viewing in browser

The post Chrome to restore one-click Certificate viewing in browser appeared first on ma.ttias.be.

The current setting is horribly frustrating if you inspect or validate TLS certificates more than once a year (which, in our line of business, could happen as much as once a day).

In Chrome 60 (currently the Canary build), you'll be able to click the green/red padlock in the browser again and immediately see the certificate details, instead of doing the stupid Inspect > Security Tab > View Certificate dance.

With a check-in on Monday night, Chrome Canary build 60.0.3088 regained a quick path to view certificates from the top-level security UI. When the new feature is enabled, you can just click the lock icon to the left of the address box, then click the “Valid” link in the new Certificate section of the Page Information bubble to see the certificate
