Kabbage CEO discusses the Future of Entrepreneurship and Intellectual Property at May 10 Hot Topic Luncheon at Georgia State University

ATLANTA, GA -- Rob Frohwein, CEO and co-founder Kabbage, will deliver the keynote at the 13th IP Hot Topics Luncheon at Georgia State University College of Law at noon Wednesday, May 10, at the Knowles Conference Center, 85 Park Place NE, Atlanta. Frohwein will share his experiences going from a practicing attorney to a global entrepreneur that raised nearly $1 billion based on patented IP for a global lending technology platform. An accomplished author and former radio host, Frohwein will entertain attendees with his vision of the changing industrial and financial climate.

“Rob has leveraged his legal experience and empathy for businesses needing working capital into co-founding a modern unicorn,” said Scott Frank (J.D./M.B.A. ’94), chair of Georgia State Law’s IP Advisory Board. “Rob and his team developed not only game-changing technology, but also created one of the most rewarding workplaces in the US. He has a unique perspective on the intersection of patents, software, finance and ideation.”

The event will be preceded by the 4th Annual IP Think Tank, an invitation-only gathering of leaders in the Atlanta IP ecosystem. A white paper on IP management is expected as a result.

Sponsors include Baker Hostetler, Cantor Colburn, Emory Law, Georgia State’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, LES Atlanta Chapter, Smith Gambrell & Russell, Clarivate Analytics, Georgia Tech VentureLab, Hartman & Citrin, Lyco Works, Murgitroyd & Perception Partners.
