Liverpool advanced to the Champions League round of 16 with a 1-0 win over Carlo Ancelotti’s Napoli, who were knocked out of the competition despite only suffering their first loss of the competition.
While Mohamed Salah’s classy goal got them underway and Alisson’s stunning match-saving save in the dying minutes capped off another famous European night at Anfield, it was Roberto Firmino who won the ‘skill of the day’ for pulling off a cracking pass to Gini Wijnaldnum during the match.
The hardworking Brazilian striker produced an influential performance and even though he could not get on the scoresheet, Firmino showed just what he’s all about with the no-look pass behind him.
The 27-year-old is known for his no-look finishes and even pulled off a no-look nutmeg against Watford earlier in the season so his brilliant pass shouldn’t come as much of a surprise for Liverpool fans.
Check out Firmino’s magical skill:
The awareness. The deft touch.
