Leeds United endured another season to forget as the Peacocks failed to compete for promotion yet again and ended their season with a poor 13th placed finish in the championship.

Despite being one of of the most historical clubs around, Leeds have struggled to draw inspiration from their legacy and the club’s shortcomings this season marks the 11th time they have failed to gain promotion to the Premier League after being relegated way back in 2007.

While their performances on the pitch has been a let down, the marketing team at the club has been doing a good job behind the scenes as the club announced a new partnership deal with the 49ers Enterprises, the investment entity behind American football giants San Francisco 49ers.

With owner Andrea Radrizzani rumoured to have sold 10% of his shareholding in Leeds to the NFL entity, supporters will be hoping that the board decides to reinvest some of the newly found income to have a serious go at promotion next campaign.

Following the announcement first team stars Kemar Roofe and Bailey Peacock-Farrell were snapped in 49ers gear and photos of the duo posing with a football has been shared around Twitter by Leeds fans.
