Normal service resumed in the Scottish Premiership as Celtic dispatched a struggling Patrick Thistle 2-0 at home. Stuart Armstrong scored a contender for goal of the season to demolish any lingering doubts regarding Brendan Rodgers’ side to bounce back from the last week’s 4-0 trouncing by Hearts.
The midfielder strode forward on the left side of the penalty area and hammered home from a tight angle.
When much of the away side was expecting a pull back, Armstrong let loose from his supposedly weaker foot to leave them stranded as Celtic players wheeled away in delight.
Armstrong who is known for his penchant for the extraordinary, repaid his manager’s faith by giving Celtic the lead and scoring his 5th goal of the season in the process.
Celtic would go on to score again via Kieran Tierney and see out the game to ensure another routine victory.
Armstrong goal out of nothing tonight was some hit! Loved the celebration as well!
