Few teams would want to face the juggernaut that is Manchester City, but it looks like Mauricio Pochettino is willing to accept that challenge head-on.
The Tottenham manager appeared very positive when questioned about the daunting trip he will undertake with his boys to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
Spurs have been unbeaten in their last four matches against Pep Guardiola’s men. They had even managed to bring an end to City’s winning streak with a memorable 2-0 victory last season.
But, there are no two opinions about the fact that Guardiola’s boys are clear favourites to win the title this time around. Given their consistent onslaught, they might even replicate Arsenal’s famous ‘Invincible Season’ of 2003-04.
Tottenham’s record against big English and European teams this season, however, suggests that if anybody can stop the Citizens, it’s them.
And for Spurs fans who needed some confidence boost ahead of the game, here’s Pochettino assuring them that the team won’t pull any punches come Saturday –
