For the first time in over 20 years, the Champions League won’t feature Arsenal, but here we have a team for next season which will not only put them back on the map of Europe, but also lay a strong claim for the Premier League title.
The lineup released by Sky Sports wears more or less the same defensive look, we have a new man anchoring the midfield. Highly-rated Bosnian international Sead Kolasinac recently completed his move to North London from Schalke, and brings a bounty of benefits to the team. His enviable versatility allows him to play in numerous positions, although he pre-dominantly operates as a left-back. Additionally, he laid five assists last season.
The presence of Alexander Lacazette is only set to bolster their squad further. The French international is widely touted to join Arsenal in the summer, and should that happen, Arsenal will have a massive upgrade on their erratic striker Danny Welbeck, ably supported by the uber-reliable Oliver Giroud.
Talking of bench strength, Thomas Lemar too can prove to be a difference-maker. The Monaco starlet carved a niche for himself after a stellar campaign with the French champions, and can keep the creative juices flowing when called upon.
This team reeks talent in every nook and corner of it. On paper at least, they look like a side who might give the usual title suspects a run for their money.
