Rafael Benitez has done it again!

After his tempestuous tenure at Real Madrid which saw him sacked well before he could even complete a season, not many were surprised that Benitez was unable to save Newcastle United from relegation last year.

However, he did amaze most by choosing to stay on and help the Magpies’ back into the Premier League – and that’s exactly what he’s done at the first time of asking after a 4-1 victory over Preston North End sealed their automatic promotion back into the Premier League.

The ex-Liverpool manager won over the fans with his decision to stay on Tyneside, and their appreciation for the boss was on show at St. James’ Park as the sea of black and white rose up as one to applaud Benitez.

A manager and a club both looking to bounce back – a match made in football heaven with the perfect ending.
