BREAKING: Detroit Lions final Week 11 Injury Report revealed

On Friday, the Detroit Lions continued their preparations for Sunday’s game at Ford Field against the Carolina Panthers. Following Friday’s practice, the Lions released their final Week 11 injury report and Marvin Jones Jr., A’Shawn Robinson, and Michael Roberts have all been ruled OUT while Ezekiel Ansah and Damon Harrison are both questionable. What do you think, Nation? Will the Lions have enough firepower to take down the Panthers or will they drop to 3-7 on the season? BONUS CONTENT: Ever since becoming a Detroit Lions fan all the way back in 1985, I’ve always been an optimist heading into each and every season. Now, don’t get me wrong, though optimistic, I have also been realistic at the same time. There have been many seasons where my football knowledge told me the Lions roster or coaching staff was not good enough to compete, but I always had HOPE. Hope that the team I have supported for so long would finally break through. That has been no different this season. Embed from Getty Images Heading into the 2018 campaign, I had hope that new head coach Matt Patricia would light a fire under the asses of the organization and lead the team to their first playoff victory since the 1991 season. Unfortunately, my brain told me that general manager Bob Quinn had not given Patricia a formidable roster to work with and nine games into the season, the Lions are sitting at 3-6. If He Only Had a “Football” Brain Yes, I know that Bob Quinn physically has a brain in his head, we all do, but that does not mean he has the football knowledge needed to successfully build an NFL roster. This is something Quinn has proven time and time again since he took over as Lions general manager prior to the 2016 season. Quinn’s first mistake was retaining Jim Caldwell as head coach following a 7-9 2015 season. Sure, the players loved Caldwell but his in-game decision making was awful (at best) and it cost the team on multiple occasions. We will never know if Quinn was given the ultimatum from the Ford family to keep Caldwell around but even if that was the case, Quinn should have never taken the job. A year later, the Lions got off to a 9-4 start and with the NFC North crown there for the taking, Caldwell was unable to get the job done as the team lost their final three games of the season to finish 9-7. This, of course, meant the Lions would have to play a road playoff game rather than hosting one. As we know, things did not end well as the Lions lost 26-6 to the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card round. To read the rest of the story, please click on the link below.
