2018 Fixture Analysis For A Non Playing Player

Tags: north freo sunday
With sides nearing completion, byes approaching and more trades each week I always plan to “nuff” out a player or two. For me this is normally done with at least my M10 (currently Dom Barry) and potentially a def / fwd as well.
For me, a “nuff” provides three benefits
• Maximum cash for upgrades;
• The ability to utilise the captain loophole for the maximum number of games each weekend; and
• The potential to loop an M9 type on field.
With that in mind we head to the fixture. For my team, I have D Cameron at R3 and looking at Sydney’s fixture it would allow many opportunities to use the captain loophole.

Note – Demons play Collingwood on Queens Birthday Monday in round 12

As we can see, three teams have six Sunday games from round 12 onwards, North Melbourne, Fremantle and West Coast. No real surprise with the two WA teams featuring, for me West Coast are out given they play one Thursday and one Friday game as well.

For me, having both a Freo and North player lines up really well

Fremantle
Saturday Games

Rd 13 v Carlton North bye ✓
Rd 16 v Melbourne North play Sunday ✓
Rd 18 v Essendon North play Saturday
Rd 22 v Geelong North play Sunday ✓

North Melbourne
Saturday Games

Rd 12 v Geelong Freo play Sunday ✓
Rd 14 v Bulldogs Freo bye ✓
Rd 18 v Collingwood Freo play Saturday twilight ✓
Rd 20 v The MIGHTY Lions Freo play Sunday ✓

This is not something I am doing, not this week or even next but through the byes I will for the reasons stated above. Hopefully this helps some out, best of luck
