According to some, in the 1860’s Great Britain began chanting in unison for their favorite athletes at sporting events, then it crossed over to America. The initial “Sis Boom Rah” is reported to have come from the first intercollegiate football game between Rutgers and Princeton in 1869. From humble beginnings there are now a participants scattered around the globe in Australia, Canada, China, Colombia, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, the Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
