Man City Dominant, Man United Suffered Shock Defeat

Two contrasting results happened for Manchester teams as Manchester City put out a dominant display against Huddersfield while United found themselves beaten by Brighton and Hove Albion this Sunday.

Playing their first home game in Premier League this season, Man City were determined to satisfy their fans as they put on an attacking display straight from kick off.

It took 25 minutes  before City can finally got their break through Sergio Aguero, but things certainly got smoother afterwards as they added two more goals in that first 45 minutes from Gabriel Jesus and another one by Aguero.

Huddersfield did manage to pull one back just before half time break with an effort from Jon Gorenc Stancovic, but the home team immediately regained their three goals margin early in the second period with an lovely effort from David Silva.

Aguero completed his hat-trick with his strike on 75 minutes, before an own goal by Terence Kongolo pretty much ended Pep Guardiola’s side goal fest at Etihad stadium, despite they still created more chances after scoring that sixth goal.

Meanwhile, a disappointing away result was earned by Man United as Jose Mourinho’s men got beaten 3-2 by Brighton in such disappointing manner.

United even found themselves trailing 3-1 down in the first 45 minutes and only managed to pull one more goal back deep in stoppage time, which was not enough to even grabbed a point.

The home team scored from Glenn Murray, Shane Duffy and Pascal Gross, while Romelu Lukaku along with Paul Pogba were the scorers for Mourinho’s side.

It was certainly a disappointing result for  Man United, but fortunately for them it is still very early in the season and they have more than enough time to improve their results.
