Russia and Uruguay Eyeing Group Winner Position

Already securing their places in the knock out stage of FIFA World Cup 2018, host nation, Russia along with Uruguay will be playing for that table topping position and simply see out which opponents they set to face.

Winning their previous two games in convincing fashion, another intriguing test arrived for Sbornaya as they must face a much solid side with physical defensive play.

It will be interesting to see on whether head coach, Stanislav Cherchesov will consider resting his important players instead of having them to battle hard in securing their current table topping position.

However, Russia won’t actually need all three points to finish top of their group since they already have quite superior goal difference compared to their South American opposition, so getting a point might just be enough for Cherchesov’s side.

Meanwhile, Uruguay reportedly will be resting some of their players, while head coach Oscar Tabarez seemingly keen in searching for alternatives for his side as they prepare for the next round.

La Celeste remain a very solid defensive side as they haven’t concede any goals so far in the tournament, so there will be question on whether a significant chances could happen at the back.

Considering the uncertainties looming regarding the two teams in group B, despite several changes, both teams are set to give their all in achieving the best possible result.
