Barcelona are making serious efforts to strengthen the team for next season and the directors at the club are making sure they bring in the required talent.

A while ago it was confirmed that Barcelona had reached an agreement with Gremio over the transfer of Arthur Hernqiue.

The Deal reached between Barcelona and the Brazilian club was expected to see the midfielder arrive the Camp Nou in January 2019.

However, they have been recent developments and Barcelona have now won the battle to move the deal forward.

According to SPORT, after a series of meetings, Arthur will join Barcelona in the coming weeks.

Gremio had insisted that they was no chance in the player leaving before January 2019, but talks on the negotiation table have been favorable for all parties.

The South American side wanted the 30 million euros up front and an extra payment for bringing forward the transfer, one which Barcelona are reluctant to pay.

In addition, Arthur also put in efforts to push through the deal and had told the Gremio chiefs that he wants the deal to be concluded this summer.

A new agreement would be drawn up and the new deal would now come into effect from July 1 to enable the club push the expenditure to a new financial year.
