Real Madrid lost their lead at the top of the table last Sunday when Barcelona beat them at the Camp Nou.
That game ended 3-2 thanks to a 92nd minute goal from Lionel Messi. As things stand now, Barcelona are level on points with Real Madrid but on top on superior head-to-head advantage.
And the remaining games would be extremely crucial for both things. Real Madrid play Malaga last on May 21, and that game has sparked tremendous amount of controversy today.
First was Luis Enrique who spoke about the Malaga vs Real Madrid game. Malaga had beaten Barcelona 2-0 in their last encounter, but Enrique doesn’t think they can win Real Madrid.
And when asked about, Malaga’s chances, the Barcelona boss said: “If my grandmother had wheels, she would be a bicycle.”
Another talking point was the fact that Malaga are currently coached by ex-Real Madrid player Michel. And the Catalan pres are insinuating that he would throw the game for his former team to win the league.
However, such reports have angered Malaga owner, Abdullah Nasser Al Thani, who made a mess of the situation.
Al Thani wrote on Twitter: ““The scum from Catalunya will not get a sniff of the league after their lies about Michel.”
