Neymar scored a lovely goal last night against Uruguay (Video)

The toughest match in the South America World Cup qualifier took place between Brazil and Uruguay.

Brazil entered the game leading the CONMEBOL standings with Uruguay trailing them in second. But the night ended in disappointment for Luis Suarez and his teammates as Brazil won 4-1.

Uruguay took the lead after nine minutes through a penalty converted by PSG striker Edinson Cavani. Tottenham flop Paulinho then drew Brazil level and then scored in the 52nd minute to put them 2-1 up.

Neymar then got in on the action with a goal of his own in the 74th minute despite having a relatively quiet game. The Barcelona man showed tremendous composure as he lobbed the all over Gastón Alexis Silva in goal.

This is how things currently stand as the five-time winners moved to 30 points.

The top four teams qualify automatically for Russia 2018. And a fifth-placed finish books a play off with a team from Oceania.
