The New York Jets are looking like the favorites to land Kirk Cousins, but the Denver Broncos have the second best odds.
According to Vegas odds, the only two contenders for Kirk Cousins are the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos. The Jets look to send a mountain of cash towards Cousins in the hopes of overcoming his desire to play for a winner, while the Broncos hope to come in close enough to play the winner card.

Either way, Cousins is about to land a historic contract that will quickly be out of the top five contracts in the NFL by 2020. Such is the nature of quarterbacks getting paid in the NFL.
As for right now, Vegas is putting the odds in favor of the team with the most money to spend and that is the Jets. The Broncos are close, though, while no other team is even in the conversation at this point.
Here is a look at how the Broncos might wow Cousins just enough to negate whatever the Jets can throw at him.

These numbers will likely scare a lot of Broncos fans, but with the salary cap growing each year these cap hits actually become a lower percentage of the cap with each passing year.
The important part is that the cap hits are lower now, since the Broncos would prefer not to clean house on the roster in order to get enough cap space to get a deal done. If I’m Cousins and want to play for a winner, then a $100M in the first three years is good enough for me!
