Jermon Bushrod, Damien Williams out for Dolphins versus Patriots

The Miami Dolphins are a couple of hours from facing off against the New England Patriots in a Monday Night Football end to the league’s Week 14 schedule. Will the Dolphins be any better than they were just 15 days ago when the two clubs met for the first time this season?

If they will be, the Dolphins will be doing it without guard Jermon Bushrod, quarterback Matt Moore, and running back Damien Williams. All three players were ruled out of the game on Saturday, when the team released their final Injury Report for the week. Bushrod and Moore are both dealing with foot injuries, while Williams has a shoulder issue.

The Dolphins should start Jessee Davis in place of Bushrod, while Moore will be replaced as the backup quarterback by David Fales. Williams’ absence will again mean Kenyan Drake gets the majority of the carries for the night, while Senorise Perry will likely be the primary reserve.

Miami also listed cornerback Cordrea Tankersley on the injury report, classifying him as doubtful with ankle and shoulder problems. Tankersley did not practice all week.

Finally, the Dolphins included defensive tackle Davon Godchaux (knee) and safety Michael Thomas (knee) as questionable for the game. Godchaux was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, but was a full participant on Saturday; Thomas did not practice throughout the week.

The Patriots’ roster - I mean injury report - listed tackle Marcus Cannon, with an ankle issue, and linebacker Kyle Van Noy, with a calf problem, as out for the game. They then listed linebacker Marquis Flowers, (knee), defensive lineman Trey Flowers (rib), running back Mike Gillislee (illness), cornerback Stephon Gilmore (ankle), Wide Receiver Chris Hogan (shoulder), defensive back Brandon King (hamstring), running back Dion Lewis (illness), cornerback Eric Rowe (groin), wide receiver Matthew Slater (hamstring), tackle LaAdrian Waddie (ankle), and defensive lineman Deatrich Wise, Jr. (foot) as questionable.

New England will be without tight end Rob Gronkowski this week after he was suspended by the league due to an unnecessary roughness penalty he was assessed in Week 13 for a late hit on Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre’Davious White.

According to various media reports, compiled by Pats Pulpit, the Patriots are expected to have Hogan back after missing four game with his injury, while Lewis is ruled “good to go” for the game as well. Wise and Waddle are both game-time decisions.

Kickoff for tonight’s game is at 8:30pm ET.
