Georgia Indoor Practice Facility to be named for Payne Family

Georgia football players have been using the Bulldogs’ new Indoor Practice Facility for long enough that I’m not sure we can call it "new" anymore. But it’s definitely getting a new name.

But he was also a member of one of Vince Dooley’s first signing classes in Athens, and eventually an All-SEC defensive end. Payne’s father Porter, for whom the facility will also be christened, was a Bulldog letterman, and a captain of the 1949 team coached by Wally Butts.

The House of Payne is in effect, y’all. Until later...
