Arsenal eye £20m bid for 22-year-old attacker – report

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Hirving Lozano ahead of a possible move for the 22-year-old PSV Eindhoven attacker, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Mail is reporting that the north London side have been keeping a close eye on Lozano in recent weeks and that a bid of around £20m could be enough to get the Dutch side to sell.

However, the story also stresses that a formal bid from Arsenal has not yet been made ahead of the January transfer window.

Lozano only signed for PSV in the summer but he has already impressed this season, scoring six goals in as many games in the Eredivisie.

The same report claims that Arsenal’s chief scout Steve Rowley has already been to see Lozano in action this season and that he could be considered as a possible replacement for Alexis Sanchez should the Chilean depart The Emirates.

The futures of both Sanchez and Mesut Ozil have been relentless sources of speculation in recent months after the pair both entered into the final 12 months of their contracts at Arsenal.

However, it remains to be seen what the future holds for the duo, and whether they could end up being sold in January rather than next summer if they fail to agree new contracts at Arsenal.
