With one game and the rest of the teams itching for Sunday kickoff, I decided it’s time to release my predictions for the upcoming season. I must admit, I can’t believe the season is ready to begin! I’m betting on defense, Matt Schaub’s health and the continued growth of Alex Smith with his newly acquired weapons. Both teams took huge steps forward last season and I feel the Texans would’ve been strong contenders if Schaub hadn’t gone down. Arian Foster is the biggest weapon in the NFL, even though we have transitioned into the passing era of football.
That being said, there are a lot of strong contenders this season. The Bears revamped their offense. The Packers are just as strong as they were last season. The Patriots aren’t ready to ride off into the sunset yet and the defending champion New York Giants are back stronger than they were last year. We can’t forget about Peyton Manning or Drew Brees either. If one of them gets on a role they will put their team in the mix.
I know I’m ready for the NFL to be back in full swing, even the referees aren’t ready. The question is… Are you ready for some football?!?!
