I will use this forum to report results of my fishing outings. From time to time I'll discuss other outdoor adventures such as camping trips, hikes, etc. I'll probably throw in some other random observations as well. I'll try to keep things humorous.
About Me
I'm a 30 year old male, and live in Shakopee, MN, a southern suburb of Minneapolis. I've been married since July 2004, and we've lived in the house we built since March 2005. I obvously enjoy fishing; I also love to play fantasy sports, work out in my home gym, do home improvement projects, cook, and drink a good bottle of wine or a cold macrobrew.
My Habits
Because I live in the Twin Cities metro area, that's where I do the majority of my fishing. From time to time I'll travel north, west to South Dakota, or elsewhere. I'm pretty well set up for open water and ice fishing, and avidly do both. 95% of my fishing is done on lakes.
Ranking my favorite fish to pursue, they are:
1. Muskie/pike
2. Walleye
3. Panfish
4. Bass

My favorite lure is...Poe's Giant Jackpot
My boat is...sitting in my garage collecting junk (it's February)
My biggest fish is....about a 7-foot sailfish off of Ixtapa, Mexico in 2002.
My favorite lake is...Lac Seul in Ontario, Canada
My favorite lake in Minnesota is...Minnetonka
For the fishing opener I....go to Rush Lake for the weekend with a group of guys
