It's Vegas SURVEY Time!!

Alright, give me your opinion. Click "xx Comments" below and leave your answer.

The Situation:
I'm not rich, not poor either. My brother-in-law lives in Chicago and is getting married this June. We live in Minneapolis. We've travelled to his house for Thanksgiving, travelled there 4 weeks ago for a wedding shower, and of course have to travel there for the wedding. We're required to stay in a $200-a-night hotel for the wedding weekend. In other words, plenty of money required. A weekend in Chicago is a $1000 bill.

The Events In Question:
Of course, the bachelor and bachelorette parties weren't mentioned above. The bachelor wants to go to Vegas. Not just Vegas, but Mandalay Bay. Not just Mandalay Bay, but the all-suite The Hotel at Mandalay Bay. $400+ per night. And the same weekend my wife goes to Chicago for the bachelorette party.

The Choices:
1. Bite the bullet and go through $1500+ in Vegas including flight, hotel, gambling, dinners, lunches, drinks, etc.
2. Fly out Friday evening (arrive 7pm), and skip the hotel stay. Fly out at 9am the next morning. I'm at least going to Vegas for the party, but chinsing out on the hotel. I live every man's dream by spending a night in Vegas without a room.

What should I do? Thoughts?
